‘It’s The Beer Talking’ offers the opportunity to sample a wide variety of beers under the expert guidance of author, journalist and former British Beer Writer of the Year Simon Jenkins.
For almost 30 years, Simon wrote the weekly beer and pub column Taverner in the Yorkshire Evening Post and has also written two books on the subject – The Great Leeds Pub Crawl and The Yorkshire Beer Bible. Following this lead, the walks and talks lean heavily on the huge range of great ales that are produced in God’s Own Country -Yorkshire beer at its finest.
Simon’s years of expertise and experience allow him to guide you through different styles and varieties of beer, discuss their history and development, and encourage you to describe exactly what you can taste. But most of all, these events are fun, interactive, and lively!
Your ‘Beer Talking/Walking’ event will be organised by event manager Nicky Massen who will make sure the event flows as smoothly as the beer in your glass. Cheers!
